RE-Form Design Competition: Finalists Announced

The jury for AIA|DC’s Emerging Architects Committee 2015 RE-Form Design Competition has selected seven finalists from a broad pool of entries. Winners will be announced at the RE-Form Design Competition awards ceremony on Nov. 9 at the District Architecture Center.

Here are the seven finalists:


HOOK
“By enabling people to access their belongings better, this product offers a solution for a common problem in the workplace”

Eating Curved Spoon :
“A product that promotes toddlers self-feeding [and] helps diminish potential overeating…”


Mag*net :
“… is a moldable material that forms around objects we frequently use and makes them readily available”

Street Housing :
“…activates residential space in DC [ and ] involves people’s daily major activities into a street section, thus minimizing people’s daily commuting cost”


Walk-On :
“… is a trigger of light projection for which the light performs different visual effects, texts, patterns, combination of colors…etc.”
