The Washington Humane Society (WHS) will host its 3rd Annual Designs for Felines event on Wednesday, January 20 from 6:00 -8:00 PM at the Blind Whino in southwest D.C.
This is a one-of-a-kind event where WHS works with local architecture firms, design companies, college students, landscape design teams to design, build, and donate small animal shelters (to hold 1-2 cats) that are creative, yet functional. The shelters will be on display during the event and the top three designs will be recognized during the presentation. After the event, WHS will disseminate the shelters throughout Washington, D.C. to provide a home for our community cats, helping them to survive the harsh winter months.
Participation packets (2016 Designs for Felines Architect Packet – PDF) outline some of the new features to this year’s event, how to get involved, and shelter guidelines. Additional information is available on the Designs for Felines website.
