WAF’s Design in Action Seeks Firms

DESIGN in ACTION 2016 is Looking For Firms!

DESIGN in ACTION, presented by the Washington Architectural Foundation, gives DC Public High School students an outstanding opportunity to shadow an architect at their architecture firm for one week during the public school spring break. Started in 2012 by Janet Bloomberg, AIA of KUBE Architecture, the program last year included 26 students. The goal of this program is to introduce students to architecture as a career and allows them to shadow architects on construction site visits, in design and client meetings, and more. The firms will be able to work with students on their own design project that they show during a reception at the end of the week.

New this year:  We will interview students prior to their placements to ensure that we’re offering this opportunity to those students who are most interested.

If you are an architect looking to participate, please email Beth Judy.
