Your City, Your Architects: Knowing the Past to Design the Future

Join AIA|DC and ICAA for a lecture by award-winning architect Mark McInturff, FAIA that will showcase projects that illustrate fundamentals of traditional architecture — expression of structure, rhythm, axis, alignment, and proportion — as created within the context of the Modern movement.

History has a continuous evolution through to Modernism that contemporary and traditional architects benefit from knowing. Nowhere is this more true than in Washington, where one of the greatest urban plans ever executed contains the DNA for moving forward with an awareness of the past.

Presented by: Mark McInturff, FAIA – McInturff Architects

Organized by: AIA|DC and ICAA
