The Emerging Architects Committee continues its Architecture Uncensored 2016 season with a discussion on the Cost of Loyalty:

There are some architects who remain at a firm for most of their careers, while others transition often. Is it better it to stay at one firm for a long time or jump around? How do young architects know if their salaries are commensurate with their worth to a company? How do employers determine what to pay a new employee? The panel will discuss the benefits of staying loyal to a firm while grappling with the fact that most opportunities for major pay increases occur when switching to a new one.
