This workshop will assist potential candidates for the 2016-2017 Christopher Kelley Leadership Development Program (CKLDP). Presenters will provide insight into what the program offers and how to create a successful application.
Members from the CKLDP 2016-2017 Selection Committee will be sharing their thoughts on what makes for a good application to the program and discuss the steps in the application process.
Prospective participants go through an application process for selection where proven career success, community involvement, and the individual’s firm/agency support will be considered. The application process is not intended to be exhaustive, but has become very competitive. The committee members will speak to each of the aspects of the application, including the letter of nomination, letter(s) of recommendation, personal resume, agreement form, and three essay questions.
The monthly meeting of AIA|DC’s Emerging Architects Committee will immediately follow the workshop. Participants are encouraged to attend both events to gather a full understanding of the career-growth opportunities that the Chapter has to offer. Dinner and drinks will be provided.
