@OpenArchDC National Treasures Design Competition Deadlines EXTENDED to 8/14

The National Treasures Design Competition registration and submission deadlines have been EXTENDED to 8/14.

DC’s Resilience by Design Committee has launched the National Treasures Design Competition (NTDC) to promote urban resilience in the National Capital Region. The competition, which is open to design teams across the nation, is an ideas competition that seeks creative design strategies to mitigate climate impacts to low-lying waterfront areas of the National Mall.

Multi-disciplinary teams are asked to submit design proposals for one of three vulnerable National Mall sites: The Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial or the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Submissions will be judged by a panel of experts representing both the design industry and local government.

Registration and Submissions are due by Midnight EST on Sunday 8/14
