CADD Microsystems presents a session in which we will profile a tool that will automatically measure compliance with BIM requirements. BIM models provide the opportunity to track LEED credit data. This free tool that will dynamically create the content you need in your models to document credit submissions as well as automatically calculate several LEED credits. COBie is becoming the new standard for transferring data from your BIM models to operations and maintenance software. We will discuss how to effectively capture and manage COBie data, and then export that data to a COBie-compliant spreadsheet.
Many BIM projects are required to follow strict modeling standards for submissions. For example, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been a leader in the BIM community and now requires all projects to include BIM model deliverables.
This session is ideal for owners, architects, engineers, and contractors who are working in any of these three BIM deliverable standards: LEED, COBie, or BIM Modeling Requirements. You don’t need to be a BIM expert or even know how to use BIM software to see how these free utilities can help you save time and achieve compliance.
